Sunscreen is the step with the clearest evidence behind it for preventing visible photoageing, and Korean formulations are popular in the UK largely because the textures make daily use realistic rather than a chore. In the UK, products are sold under EU-style SPF and UVA-PA labelling; look for both a high SPF and meaningful UVA protection rather than SPF alone. The best sunscreen is genuinely the one you will reapply, because application quantity and reapplication matter more than small differences between filter systems.

We currently track 3 published products here. Every entry is compiled from manufacturer ingredient disclosures, published cosmetic science literature and UK retailer listings. We do not run clinical trials, and we do not publish a product until its formulation details have been checked against a source we can cite.
- Formulation: INCI lists, key actives, fragrance and alcohol status where the brand discloses them.
- Evidence: what the published research suggests for the key ingredients, and what it does not establish.
- UK availability: retailer listings and prices, with the date each was last checked. Where a price is not recent enough to quote, we say “check latest price” instead of guessing.

- Apply generously as the final morning step, before makeup.
- Reapply through the day when you are outdoors for extended periods.
- White cast and finish are formulation-dependent — texture preference is a valid deciding factor.
